Myths cannot be created. They will be carried out. The below is a compilation of Hero Myths(Sourced from The Myth of the Birth of the Hero by Otto Rank) of the Western World, with forays into Mesopotamian, Persian and Indian arenas. Looking at them, assuming Gilgamesh is the oldest, almost all of them followed the same pattern/copied from Gilgamesh or someother Egyptian, atleast those in the cultural area – Europe to Persia including Northern Africa-

1. King orders the execution of the infant(either an extramarital affair or a threat to the throne)

2. The infant is left exposed – either in water or in a forest or the likes

3. He is brought up by someone else, generally an animal and in some cases, lowly humans.

4. Then finally, he does something and becomes the king.

The fork offs are god impregnates his mother, mother is a virgin, he kills his father, marries his mother and so on.

A few more names – Chandragupta Maurya(Hindu), David(Christian),Hatshepset(Egyptian), Horn(German), Schlau(Mongolian) – fit the general bill.
